Keep this friend…

.. wrapped in prayer.  Fr. Kevin, May all the saints and all of  the prayer warriors here on earth keep you covered in love and prayer.  Fr Kevin, a chaplain in the US Army, is deploying to Afghanistan to take the place of a chaplain  recently killed.  This unit is in a dangerous place and recently lost many many soldiers.  Please remember these deployed soldiers who all have  families praying for their safe return. We will miss you, but will rejoice when you return back to the states.  St Christopher, pray for us, St Matthew, pray for us, St Patrick pray for us.

As I arise today,
may the strength of God pilot me,
the power of God uphold me,
the wisdom of God guide me.
May the eye of God look before me,
the ear of God hear me,
the word of God speak for me.
May the hand of God protect me,
the way of God lie before me,
the shield of God defend me,
the host of God save me.
May Christ shield me today.
Christ with me, Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit,
Christ when I stand,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
Amen

  1. Fr. Kevin, we will keep you in our prayers. And maybe some cookies will make their way into a box with your name on it…

God bless you, Mary keep you, St Michael walk beside you.

May the soul of CPT G., and the souls of all of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

  2. I had heard about the chaplain that was killed. My heart goes out to his family and my prayers go up for your Fr. Kevin. I know he’s very special to your family. May he return home safely, along with all the other troops that are in harms way.

  3. Dear Emily,
We will add Fr. Kevin to our permanent prayer list and he will be included in our nightly family Rosary. May Our Lady shield him with her mantle and keep him safe.
    God bless,
    Jennifer

  4. Emily, Please let father Kevin know that my thoughts and Prayers will be with him. I will let Janet and the others know at the preschool . Love to your beautiful family.
